Looking for some lobster info

I have been trying to find out some info on Maine lobster season: dates, permit price, good places/opporators. Figured I'd bring it to the experts.

No catching lobster while diving, period. Actually it's a great way to get yourself killed. Lobstering is serious business in Maine and only done by those with trap permits.

They are larger, more plentiful, and illegal to take without a trap permit.

Thanks for the info guys, explains why I had such a hard time finding the info for diving for Maine Lobsters.

You can dive for "Maine" lobsters, just not in Maine. Massachusetts has a year-round season, but you have to be a resident to get a permit.
