IIRC the thread is the same for most any manifold. That is the cross over is not specific to the 7/8 tank valve.
 
Do you know where I could find the plug? None of my google-fu is working.
 
I would take it to the shop with the plug you have and see if they have one in their random parts box. Another solution may be to go on ebay and buy another valve. Valves from decommissioned tanks are pretty readily available, so it might be easier (and possibly cheaper) to buy a valve and stow the twin until you need it.

Edit: The 7/8” thing makes it a pisser. I would take the valve to the LDS and ask if they have the part in their random parts collection. I doubt the sizing is unique and they probably have one from a when they twinned some tanks or decommissioned one.
