That is good news !... I'm leaning towards oceanic as it seems easier to get better prices and still keep the warranty /service..as it seems most scubapro/aqualung/apeks dealers wanna charge full price with no discounts ..boo on them

You have found the issue allot have with Scuba Pro and AquaLung who owns apek. They have a zero competition policy for their dealer to keep prices up. You can find deals on them but i requires some serious looking around. But they do make good equipment.

I understand that but i thought that was illegal to force pricing on a dealer..I think i would be happy with the EOS and it will be cheaper ..although I can find good deals also on Atomic as well

It is not illegal what they do, it is just not consumer friendly. The atomic m1 and the oceanic Eos are both excellent regs. You can not go wrong with either. The Eos in the newest design on the market with balanced first and second.

it is illegal to price fix ( sherman anti trust act)..but i doubt a big business would do such a thing ...I'm sure I will be happy either way I go ..

They are not fixing the price, it is mrsp. Not anti trust as there is allot of competition out there.

I am very happy with the scubapro mk25/a700 set I just got. I have a few dozen dives with it with temps in the low 40's at over 100' down.

If you want to get4 a good deal on Scubapro gear or other kit that has similiar pricing policy try to get a package deal with something that doesn't have that. I bought my bcd and regulator with my dive computer so that officially they could drop the price on the computer alot.
