I recently switched from US Divers (Aqua Lung) to Dive Rite. Hard to get support or parts anymore for my USD SEA.
.

Any Aqua Lung dealer worthy of the name should be able to supply both parts and service for the Sea/Cousteau first stage. These were manufactured in the '90's, and utilize many of the same replacement internals as the Conshelf.

No one on this board has used every regulator on the market. Every scuba shop owner recommends what he carries. Every manufacturer recommends what he makes. Every diver recommends what he bought last time.

If you are a new time diver, frankly, it doesn't matter. Spend a couple hundred bucks on your reg and enjoy yourself.

I'm an average diver who goes to the Caribbean every year, and maybe somewhere else once in a while. My experience is that all the equipment is suitable for the average diver. In fact, I don't ever take my equipment anymore. The airlines charge so much to check the equipment that it's just cheaper to rent it when you get there.

I was in Mexico last year and had a leak in my reg. It was a simple o-ring problem, but I missed a good dive because I couldn't get in the water. The dive master didn't really care that I stayed in the boat. It wasn't his equipment--it wasn't his problem.
