The Molokini dive is a drift dive with no anchor line. If buoyancy and drift is not an issue, it was a great dive. Lots of critters, some rare, nudis and a few sharks, mostly white tip makes it a great dive.

Molokini is Many, many different dives. Anchoring is not permitted at Molokini.

My personal favorite Molokini dives are;

1. Reef's End Drift, often started from a mooring ball
2. Reef's End moored at Reef's End
3. Reef's End moored in the sand channel
4. Middle Reef wall moored on the deep sand channel mooring
5. Ene Nue drift, often started from a mooring ball
6. Ene Nue moored
7, 8, 9 and maybe even 10. Various Backside wall drifts

IMHO, the vast majority of Molokini divers start their dive from a mooring, and most Molokini dives are made with the boat staying on that mooring, so there is a descent/ascent line most of the time.
