Hey guys,
I live about an hour north of Joplin. I know that it is a little ways away, but if any of you are heading for Oronogo and need a buddy, let me know. I work a swing shift, so I may or may not be able to make it, but you never know.

TRFollis, when the weather starts getting warmer (late April, early May) we have a group of about 50 active divers that meets at Indian Creek rec area near the Dam at Beaver Lake on most weekends during the summer (Extreme Dive Club). Note that not everyone is there every weekend, but we average about 25-30 each weekend. Come join us some weekend and meet our group from the Joplin area. We always have a great time as this is a fun group of divers.

Matthew, is this the group we tried to hook up with this past fall when the folks from up north came down for certs?

If so, when I'm not at Beaver on weekends, I'll hit your group up to play "follow the leader" so I can get some good footage following divers who know the area better than I do. It always makes great BETA to give to new students wanting to know the lay of the land (so to speak).

I don't think so, the name doesn't ring a bell but I do know that I tend to dive with groups on occasion and I never get beyond the name of my buddy and maybe where they're from.

I tend to think STL and KC are two of the groups I've dove with on some weekends.

I just like to dive and like I've told my LDS, I'll dive with anybody new young or old, it doesn't matter if they gulp or sip air so long as they're not dangerous. I like hanging around newer divers, what they see and notice are things that keep it fresh for me.
