looking for an advanced card instructor in the desert/san diego area

looking at getting my advanced card, however, I do not know any good instructors/shops down in my new area (imperial valley). I really do not want to go to a sport chalet because I like supporting small independent businesses. Any help would be great.

Have you talked to the Scuba diver girls in San Diego? I believe they are an independent shop. You can google them for their website. I haven't used them personally but have heard good things about them.

I don't think that Scuba Diver Girls does scuba instruction. The outfit mainly does guided snorkel and scuba tours at La Jolla Shores and La Jolla Cove. I could be wrong about this, though.

I know a couple of good instructors in the San Diego area, but they work for one of the larger local scuba shops (not Sport Chalet, by the way).
