Looking For A dive Buddy in Ohio

Scubaboard is a GREAT PLACE to meet dive buddies! I did the most diving I've ever done in one season last year because of buddies I met on SB. Before that I had one buddy I dove with and he had a tough schedule!

I've met erparamedic (twice), scubaref (her hubby), Komi Hunter, Notso_Ken (also twice), eckybay, Reggae Joe, Ber Rabbit (she's not scary in person - I've met her twice, but once was very brief and the other was a two-day bunny marathon!), Steve_Dives, scubaaron2003, diver_Paula, Barracuda2, wb416 (I didn't dive with him but from everything I know, he's a VERY good diver!), Gear Junkie and jchoby (also didn't dive with them, but they are also, from what I hear, very safe folks!), and another few GLWC folks. Not to mention the folks in Hawaii and Florida I've met (and gone diving with!). And I had a narrowly missed Dairy Queen and Diving session with PennyPue- but I didn't get to go to that one!

SB is a great place to meet fellow divers and make friends!

Re-reading this post, I realize how utterly cheesy it sounds. But I can't figure out how to un-cheese it without removing the ridiculous joviality I'm feeling. Silly.

I hang out a lot in the Dork Diver's forum. You can see why !

BTW- all of these folks were strangers before I found SB! Now they are friends.

I'm a prosecutor in Clark County (Springfield) and usually dive with some local police officers. We dive some local lakes and the quarries. We would be glad to welcome a firefighter/medic to the group not to mention anyone from OSU since I'm a grad (Go Bucks)!!!! It will be another 6 weeks before I'm back in the water due to some sinus surgery at OSU. Let me know if you want to join us. You may want to check with the Columbus Police Department. They have a dive team. I'm sure you could link up with some of those guys. Good luck!

Yeah what about the Michigan contingent? If you are going to mention the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew, we have more property bordering the Great Lakes than anybody. I notice that she didn't mention the Meet & Greet either. Of course she is probably in morning since you won't be there.

That was a last minute post before leaving work...haven't seen you guys put up the Meet-n-Greet info either I might not get to go, we had promised to re-build a bridge for my mother-in-law that weekend and have out of town relatives coming in to help.

I would love to find someone that would like to do some casual diving. I don't have a regular dive buddy and i miss being able to dive on a consistant basis. I would also like to go back to whitestar sometime. I haven't been in 10 years.

There are a whole bunch of people here who are all about casual diving, you've definitely come to the right place. All you have to do is post where and when you want to go and ask for buddies or join any dives that others post. We're a friendly group and in the year's I've been diving with the crew I haven't met an unsafe diver in this group.

Since you're in Dayton you're welcome to come out and play in the pool during my classes.

I can vouch for this character. I've been on... what? 4 or 5 dives with you? I lived. You must be doing something right!
