Looking for a yoke/din valve for a steel 72, can someone point me in the right direction.

thanks

If your 72 has straight 3/4 threads you have lots of choices. If your tank is old enough to have NGT threads (National Gas Tight, tapered threads often mistaken for "pipe threads") the choices in valves narrows.

Thanks both of you I will pull the valves after my dives this weekend! Tobin I am loving my dss bp/w thanks for talking me through the purchase it is perfect!

You do not need to pull the valve to know which threads are on your valve you have.

Can you see threads?

Yes 1/2" NGT threads - http://www.leisurepro.com/p-xsspvn/xs-scuba-pro-valve-with-1-2-npt-threads

No 3/4" NPSM threads - As said above lots of choices

so I can't see any threads picture attached just to confirm.

There was also 1/2" NPSM valves, but I have not seen many, so you might wait to pull the valve before you order another.

I was going to mention that as well but the chances are slim.

That said for the OP your valves are 3/4" straight thread. So just get whatever valve that suit your fancy. Just make sure it has a burst disk that is rated for 2250 psi (or 2400psi).
