Depends on temp. I would assume 50 hours is in perfect conditions, which any of us rarely have.I know Alkin recommends changing the filter contents on the purified every 50 hours, would it be better to change it sooner?

I think if I was you I would read this thread from beginning to end again.. that's all been gone over. (Not trying to be an ass... you'll learn a lot and better then re writing it all over again).
