I took a picture of a fish I haven't seen before this weekend, in the St. Lawrence River near Brockville. It was about 3 feet long. I believe it's a longnose gar:

Took a picture of one 2 or 3 years ago near the Rothesay. I have not seen another one.
They remind me of the trumpetfish in the Caribbean (less flashy colors)

Do you have the picture that you took near the Rothesay online? I'd like to compare them. Someone pointed out that this looks more like a spotted gar than a long-nose gar, and if so, would be unusual to find in the St. Lawrence.
