I tried out the new break away connector on my recent trip to Mexico. I like the idea, but I had problems with it slipping off the 11/16" nut next to the regulator, and then sliding around on the hose. Perhaps if you sized it to grip the hose itself, rather than the nut, the friction between the Delrin and the rubber would be enough to hold it in place. (Of course, then somebody would complain that it doesn't work on a Miflex hose.) Thanks for the new ideas, though, and I'm loving my Razor II harness and wing!

We tried a "hose sized" breakaway and the hose is too slippery. It takes a bit of practice but keeping it on the fitting gets easier with time. I shove mine right up next to the second stage.

OK, I'll give it another try next time out.
