Some of the beach clubs are laundromats. My wife works at a beach club and and when some of the cartel guys come in , they pay nothing for food and booze all day. You would be surprised how much of this is going on.

We started getting picked up at Tortugas rather than the marina after the parking situation became unbearable. Erik allowed us to park at his beach club as long as we had a beer or a snack after our dive. He had a great smile. No idea as to anything that was happening in his business or his life. Shocked and saddened to read about his death.

For about 5 -8 years the reports being published peak in the fall. The one that concerned me was the 500 kg with pictures being published on an anchored platform held by what looked like a WWII cargo net in shallow water just north of Chin Rio, about 5 years back."...one of more than 200 found washed up along Quintana Roo beaches in the past two months..."

Could somebody post an update on the progress of the sewer line replacement on Melgar? Wondering if it will be finished before Carnival 2024!
