Do any of you fellow TSD ever do boat diving in the local lakes of Texas,,,,do you own a boat, rent one. Just curious, we always hear of the chartered trips we take and shore diving, but never freshwater(greenish to brown tones) local boat dives. ??

Harvdog used to work for this shop that has a pontoon boat at Travis... I will probably try them next year...

I know its not in Texas but I live 17 miles form Oklahoma ....
We use Our the Sea-Doo to haul our stuff around at Bevers Bend on Lake Broken Bow.
We also have access to a small flat bottom bass boat with a 25HP motor that gets us around lickidy-split to some of the out of the way landings there. It's a cool lake with a couple of really easy going dive shops about 15 miles away. I'm gonna drag you out there sometime next year...

You can check out the area here...

Timeliner.... man what a great offer for next year---count me in, no dragging required! Thanks, Alan

I'd be up for a dive there when ever I get a thicker suit or the warm water returns.
Hopefully sooner then later. I don't think my 3-2 wetsuit will cut it for too much longer as Winter comes upon us> You'll hear from me when I get a new one.
