ScubaNorth:
I'm hooking up with you and Chebby, I know you guys have the "honey holes" down to a science. I did ditch the lickle stick this past weekend to try some more of the basic approach.
North, nice to hear you finally dumped the stick. Those things are not very productive. Just get really thick gloves instead.

We usually dive mornings during the week. If you want, you can tag alone with us. If we can’t get you a lobster, I’ll take you to Shaws myself and make sure you leave with one (or at least some frozen crab rangoons). I’ll PM you next week if we’ll go.

Oh no not another early morning meeting with clients. I guess I'll have to let my boss know I won't be in til afternoon that day. I am grabbing a new regulator this week hmmm guess I better get moving to have it for the weekend. I think I'll pick up a spear of some sort for the Flounder. Oh yeah note to self THICK GLOVES.

I've always had good luck with my home-made stick. If you're careful about getting the stick in next to them, you can tap their tails and they come right out.

Yep. North side of Cape Ann is where it's at.... But that's ALL I'll say. There's gotta be a little sportsmanship.

Forget everything I said about the "North side" of Cape Ann. Just get in the water. There all over the place (at least around Cape Ann). My partner pulled 5 yesterday, 1 being enormous (yes it was legal) and managed to convince a flounder to swim into his bag.

....And we were NOT on the "North side" of CA. But once again, I will say no more.

Did my first local dives of the season this morning at our usual honey hole off Plymouth. Water was 53-57 @ 25 ft. Viz was 5-8 feet.

We managed to grab 14 keepers between the three of us, including one big boy that was just under the max, and a couple flounder.

I must have measured 10 shorts that were about 1/16 too short. They're making their way into the shallows. Next two months should be nice.

After our second dive, as I was taking my bungeed computer off my wrist, it went flying over the side - yikes. I was able to find it about 30 seconds after descending, which was a miracle with the low viz and so many rocks with lots of nooks and crannies. The lobster gods are smiling!

Happy 4th y'all.

i went out today with a friend and saw Tons of shorts, and got 2 keepers

Same here today...Boston Outer Harbor...lots of shorts and only two keepers. Better amount of bugs than last week though.
