Hi,
I thought it would be fun to make an ongoing to place to post our favorite lobster recipes:

Here's mine to start it off, sorry that I don't have exact amounts, but I just eyeball it:

Mince some garlic, add soy sauce, dijon mustard, and a little bit of brown sugar. Whip it all together, and brush the sauce onto a lobster tail split in half and cook it over the grill.... Delicious!

I've added some other random ingredients (honey, etc) around the kitchen when I've made this sauce and it nearly always tastes great.

Boil, dunk in butter and eat. Plain and simple.

I'm with sasscuba... either boil or broil, melted butter and lemon.

Butterfly, broil shell up till red, turn over add crabmeat stuffing to head, finish broiling.

  • Remove tail (using a fillet knife)
  • Butterfly tail (belly side)
  • Brush exposed meat with paste of melted butter, freshly chopped garlic & parsley
  • Season with a touch of "Old Bay"
  • Toss them on the grill (back down)
  • Throw back a cold one while you wait :D

One tail? Ten friends?

Boil Lobster. Process on mince, or throw in blender to chop finely.

Tomato soup made with milk--dash of heavy cream, generous dose of butter. Okay--a stick of butter.

Add white pepper (critical), and a shot of cognac.

I like my Hennessey in liquer glass on the side, straight up so I can puddle it in the center of my bowl myself. Pretty good and makes the catch stretch. I learned this at DelMario's in Del Mar, California. It took me about ten dinners to get it out of them too.

Big bug (tough meat) ?
  • Boil for few minutes
  • Chop into bite sized chunks
  • Throw in wife's secret family spaghetti sauce
  • Let simmer
  • Serve over favorite pasta
  • Throw back a cold one to wash it down :D

yum. but no wife's secret sauce.

you could probably get that for us, if you tried. Try getting it ingredient at a time over a few months.

Marinara, right?
