1st season catching bugs and noticed last week that the sightings have droped down and the pots have moved further out. Is this the end of the season for us shore divers without a loooong surface swim?

Definately going to have to invest in a kayak next year to get out to the deeper water.

from what I can tell thats pretty much the case, bugs internal clock say winter's coming. as the daylight gets shorter they "know" the water will be getting cooler very soon. from my experience come late october/early november the bugs are gone to sea

Let me know if you do the kayak thing. I've been thinking about getting one but having heard some pros and some cons I've been on the fence. Plus my buddy ain't interested in the div-yaking.

I dove last week at ogb and saw many lobstas. That maybe because the water is still warm until about the end of october. So yo still may have a little more time to get some critters.
