Has anyone ever been diving at the Living Seas? I believe it is part of Disney World in Orlando but not sure about that. I would love to go one of these days. I believe it cost $140 and they provide everything except your mask. Been watching videos on youtube.com. It looks really awesome!!!!

It's part of Epcot Center. $140 was what is was last year. No park admission required. The only thing you can bring is your swim suit and mask.

The link El provided you is the most comprehensive report I have saw to date. Let us know about your experience, if you make it there. :)

It was truly a once in a lifetime expericence. Do not pass up the opportunity.

well worth doing, you'll get to dive with many species at the same time that you would normally not see together, not to mention various varieties of sharks, but the most fun I had on my dive there was interacting with the kids staring at us through the windows...

If you decide to go, do mention what agency you were certified through, and they will give you a 10% discount. If you have a AAA membership and mention that, you'll get 15% off and if you have a Visa card through Disney, you'll get 20% off. It's definitely worth checking out once at least. The best part of it seemed to be the interaction I got with the guests on the other side of the class. And the treatment you received from everyone at Disney was top-notch.

And after you were done with your dives, you could roam around Epcot for the rest of the afternoon/evening. They didn't seem to mind letting you go off into the park, despite the fact you hadn't paid the admission.

:)

Not even close to worth it.
I hate to see the animals when I go there. Some reef animals tolerate captivity well, many there don't.
The jacks, snapper, grouper and some other species look horrible with frayed fins and lesions.
The money would be better spent actually diving in the ocean.

It's a great experience. Done up in the typical "DIR" Disney style. You'll probably have the whole gamut of the divers' experience diving with you, from a dozen to thousands of dives.
