Liveaboards Belize

Am really interested in doing a liveaboard in belize but am working on a budget..

I have heard that the companies to negociate...I was wondering if anyone here has had experience getting a last minute deal, and if so, what the price was, (or the discount?)

It's worth getting on all their mailing lists and also watching their web sites to see what comes up. I've seen offers for a few hundred off when they have openings they don't expect to fill during slower times, but sometimes the prices are already lower then. Sometimes you see deals like bring a buddy 1/2 price. Sometimes there are deals offered only to former customers. As far as cheaper than that, I've heard of people going for half price or less, but I think that's a matter of being there and taking your chances, standby like. I was on the Sun Dancer once when someone living locally did this (who we happened to know from another place years earlier, which was interesting.) I suspect Knowing people may help.
