Dear All,

I'm interested in taking a honeymoon trip on a liveaboard in the South Pacific, and have been intrigued by the Mergui Archipelago, does anybody know a quality liveaboard operator i can contact?

should anybody have comments or feedback on previous trips to this destination i would greatly appreciate them.

Thanks!

The Mergui Archipelago is off Myanmar, not in the South Pacific. Is that the destination you're interested in, or are you looking for somewhere in the South Pacific?

The Mergui Archipelago is in the Indian Ocean (specifically in the Burma part of the Andaman Sea), not the Pacific Ocean, but no matter--a lot of people "over there" in western countries think mainly in terms of two oceans: Atlantic and Pacific. I'm guessing that what you're looking for is an Asia-Pacific honeymoon, right?

In terms of boats going up to Burma to dive, there aren't many, they depart from Thailand, and most are not what you'd imagine as a honeymoon-type boat, but yes, it is possible to do a liveaboard trip there. Keep in mind that going up to Burma is seasonal and is possible only in winter and spring. If this general information still matches up with what you want to do for your honeymoon, let me know, and I can give you more specific info.
