A dive liveaboard called M/V Dream Keeper out of Cebu sank yesterday off Tubbataha Reef. Twenty-eight have been rescued, but four are still missing. SAR ongoing. According to Philippine Coast Guard reports, squalls had been in the area overnight.

Here’s hoping the missing turn up soon. 🤞

Terrible news, fingers crossed they find the missing four.
Found this news article: Squall suspected in dive boat sinking off Tubbataha

We're headed there tomorrow night and the boat we've booked (Discovery Palawan) was apparently the closest yacht in the vicinity.

Hopefully, the missing are found.

I have to say that this boat does not look like like a very good design - appears to be very top heavy/too tall for for its length? I could see it doing poorly/rolling in heavy broadside winds.

Philippine naval architecture at its best
