We still have power at 12:30 AM with what i am estimating to be Cat 2 to 3 winds.

Rain is HEAVY and perfectly sideways.

We are still in good spirits and some have even managed to get some sleep.

Lights have flickered a couple of times, so I don't suspect we will have it much longer.

Next update when possible.

The only thing I can think of watching the storm heading your way!

We are all Praying for you....

Just lost Cable TV...so no more CNN.

This means the power went out where the cable company is.

Ours will go any time now.

I'm going to TRY to sleep for awhile before it gets much louder!

still have phone at 4:00am...hence dial-up connection and laptop battery

Don't mean to be a downer, but this is terrifyng...no other way to describe it. What we are hearing already is worse than Emily was at it's worst and we have 10 more hours of this before the eye... Then several hours of the eye... then 10 to 12 more hours of hurricane as relayed in a statement issued by our Mayor last night.

Eyewall is approx 55 miles SE of us, headed NW at 6mph with 150mph winds

This may be our last update, although sleep at this point is near impossible.

We are calm but bundles of nerves.

Christi:

You and everyone in Cozumel are in our prayers. We are really concerned. Please let us know you are ok as soon as you can. If there is anything you need after Wilma passes, please post a report.

God be with you Christi. Our thoughts and prayers will be.

OK, now I'm getting scared for you guys. This is worse than any of us imagined. I really thought you might get lucky and have this storm pass east of you. We'll all feel better when you sign on again. Fingers crossed.

I second the thoughts and prayers of those who posted before me.

Godspeed to you and your fellow Islanders Christi.

We all hope to hear from you soon so we know you are OK.

Jim

The best of luck both during and in the aftermath of this hurricane. Many of us scubaboarders have you in our thoughts.
