We just returned from a short trip to LC. This was our first trip to the island & it definitely lived up to its reputation!

The Diving: We dove with Reef Divers out of LCBR. Our schedules only allowed us a short trip, so we were only able to dive three days. The boat crews were great - our DM's were Sunny, Neil, Matt, & Sharon. Their briefings were very detailed and told us what to look out for and where we'd be most likely to see it. Conditions were great all week with Tuesday being just about perfect: there was barely a ripple on the surface and the water was crystal clear. We dove the north side sites and ended up not repeating anything all week. Again, the crew was great about taking requests and trying not to re-do sites (although for those who were there longer than us, I think it was inevitable). My favorites included Mixing Bowl, Mike's Mount, and Donna's Delight. There were turtles around on just about every dive, and we also saw a few stingrays and a couple of sharks (1 reef/1 nurse).

The Lodging: Stayed at Little Cayman Beach Resort. This was our first experience with an all-inclusive and we enjoyed it quite a bit. The food was really good and there was enough variety each meal to satisfy most anyone. The bar was a fun place to hang out and talk until time for bed. We missed the infamous karaoke night, but came in fourth in the Wed night trivia contest! Like everything in the Caymans, drinks were pretty expensive, but LCBR has a package that includes 2 drinks/day. We weren't trying to do any serious partying, so that was plenty for us. The rooms need a bit of updating, but we discovered as we were leaving that they'll be doing just that later this summer.

Probably the only down side to LC is getting there. Our travel schedule had us waiting in the GC airport for several hours coming and going. You can only browse through those duty free shops for so long! We did discover on the way back that there is a restaurant on the 2nd level of the terminal bldg and we killed some time there and at the observation deck.

Overall, LC and Reef Divers/LCBR gets a big
