Oh everything went fine. We took 3 bags between the 2 of us and all 3 were under 50 lbs, but our total was over the 55#s per person and they never charged us anything, coming or going. Unfortunately we left our extra c5050 body at home and flooded the camera on day 1. So we got to try out a Canon G12 rental system they had. Ended up getting some really nice photos, but missed the 4 flamingo tongues lined up on one stalk of coral on the dive before we rented the camera. Guess we will just have to go back and try again next time...

Yes there is always a next time....Little Cayman can be addictive!

LC is addictive. And the weight limit is really not an issue as clothing needs are simple on this island - there is no need to "dress up"anywhere. The twin Otter connection is a hoot (I think there were seagulls passing us :) ). The runway seems to be paved over the natural terrain of the land on LC (as opposed to flat and level). By the way, we deplaned at Terminal A gate 1:D (cute photo of the sign).

I always think of the Otter as just part of the adventure. If you are looking for a group trip in June 2012, PM me!

We have been to Little Cayman and Brac more times than I can remember and we have never paid a baggage fee. We travel with two bags each (clothes and dive gear) weighing about 70 lbs. total and two carry ons.

I have only had my bags searched one time. The poor Indian dude kept asking if I had any "oxygen" bottles in my bag. Hello . . . this guy works in one of the busiest dive travel airports in the Caribbean and he thinks we carry oxygen bottles with us.

One time our flight from the States was late getting into GCM. We waved goodbye to our bags on the tarmac and saw them again the next day at LCBR. I figure we were due a baggage issue since we had been so lucky for so long.

In general, we have been very lucky traveling to LCBR and Brac.
