Oxycheq and DSS both sell low-volume wings (<20lbs lift) that are very robust, lightweight and low-bulk. They can be twinned with either a hard (aluminum/kydex) or soft (nylon) backplate for low travelling weight. Likewise, there are options on the harness type also - with a very minimalist 'hog' harness offering the least weight and bulk for portability.

how about the zeagle brigade, i got one and they only sell it at scubatoys.com
its a zeagle ranger with a smaller bladder attached to make it easier to travel, check it out...

Seasoft Travlite is a really neat travel back inflate BC. There simply is no more versatile BCD made. It's not perfect, but it is as close as dammit. One BCD fits a 300 pounder, and an 85 pounder. And it really does fit them both. And it can dive with a 19 cf as the tank, or an 8" 130 cf tank. And it rolls up into nothing, and weighs nothing. Best travel BCD ever made.

And it does your laundry, presses your dress shirts, and does wake up calls. And does currency exchange.

I travel with my seaquest Balance and am very happy with it, although it is a bit more substantial than some of the other dedicated travel BC's. It packs well, is fairly light and is a pleasure to use.

I got the Zeagle Express Tech for the reasons mentioned. It's bare-bones, super-lightweight, and fits in my backpack when I'm vagabonding around, which was my requirement at the time. However, as I said in another thread last year, I don't find it all that comfortable or convenient compared with a more traditional, less tech-like BC.

Yes there is the Cressi Travel Light, which I’m very happy with. I bought it because I travel thousands of miles every year and want to minimise the weight and volume. It is foldable with lock straps and can be packed in its own soft bag the size of a supermarket shopping plastic bag so you can take it as cabin baggage if you wish. As for all products it has pluses and minuses; however I find that the plus side outweighs the minuses with a large margin.

On the plus side:
Light weight approx. 2kg
Foldable in its own soft bag
2 large utility pockets
Plenty of D-rings and attachments
Integrated weights
2 tank straps
Snug soft fit
The prize is a under $400

On the minus side:
The lifting capacity is roughly one size under e.g. a medium size will have the same lift in lbs as most other BCD small size have, for comparison medium size Cressi Travel Light = 20.2 lbs, whereas small size Cressi Mens Aquaride BCD = 22.5 lbs, so you will be hanging low at the surface, you will just have your head above water, but that is something I can live with.

If you do a lot of travelling then I would recommend this BCD.

The Zeagle Express Tech sells for $260 at leisurepro, and the Zeagle Stiletto is listed for $520 on the same site, what makes for such big price difference between the two?

locally there are only OMS and SP BPW dealers. So, not much variety for trying stuff on and making any decisions.

so, I'm not sure what to do =\
