depending on how you travel overall weight of your dive can matter if you want to keep the main stuff with you, if you check bags it’s not to much of a problem, unless your bag doesn’t arrive.

The quest for light weight gear has some standard go to’s like aluminum back plate, small wing minimal exposure protection.

I like to save weight and try new things so even though I have an Atomic T2 I had heard some nice things about SP’s C370 which they market with what the call a light weight MK11.
I’m sort of switching to all diaphragm first stages but Atomic was hard to beat as the travel set

The Mk11 comes as light as they could make it

They machined away everything they could, still 1/2 pound heavier but better the the old style 11
