2 morning dives in Utila equaled 1 nurse shark, 1 sea turtle, 4 wire coral shrimp, HUGE puffer, tiniest juvenile spotted drum ever, paired Queen angels and Rock Beauties, pygmy filefish, spotted eagle ray, and so on.

Life is good.

Can it get better? Yep. Just read the local paper back home and they are expecting 6 inches of snow overnight. Awesome. :D

I'll upload photos once I'm home. Steve at Deep Blue has already warned me about bandwidth maximums

At the risk of ruining your vacation, I checked the weather and it didn't happen. Take some solace in that the high today in Champaign IL is about 70° less than what you got.

Little stuff is good. Quite the eye!

Life is very good!!! We are at Reef House for another 21/2 weeks. Diving is great, Food is great and Mike is a great host and so far the weather is good. For those of you that have never been to Reef House, I suggest you might give it a try. Our 5th trip to Roatan and our first here, but it won't be our last. No other dive boats up our direction and the reef east of here is in grat shape. Gotta love Roatan. Life is good!!!!

The other trips you took were to FI, I believe... RHR should be quite a different feel! You owe us a full report with pix big time... when you return! ;)

Liar! 3 inches and still snowing :)

And yeah... I have 20/15 vision. When I played baseball, as I stood in the batters box, I could watch the seams of the ball spin. Little stuff is just a bit bigger for me than most :p

You are right Roatan Man. Our other trips were to FI for 2 weeks each. I like Reef House better as we haven't seen any cruise ships or passengers on the beach. I like the very laid back way of life on this end of the island. If you need night life this is probably not the resort for you, but for us this is great as we eat, dive, eat, dive and then sleep. Lots of time to take macro shots and the reef seems to be in better condition. The food is great and the divemaster and owner are very good. Today we had dolphins on the surface, 2 eagle rays, 1 sting ray and a toad fish that was big enough to put your had down his throat, several sea horses and 1 pipe fish. It seems the sponges and soft corals are larger here. Gotta love Roatan!

.... and a toad fish that was big enough to put your had down his throat....

Sounds like that sedentary monster at Calvin's Crack.

Although likely there are others.
