I was talking with a friend in the hydro business and he claimed that OMS had different hydro measurement (capacity) than Faber. It has always been my understand that OMS just painted them a different color and used the Vander Waals calculation to claim a different volume.

Comments?

OMS has never made tanks or distributed any from a different steel tank manufacturer for that matter. They are Faber's with different paint, different boots, and more "generous" size labeling in an effort to market them as "bigger".

OMS stopped selling Faber tanks in early 2008. They now sell hot dipped galvanized tanks from another manufacturer.

Well I'll be damned they did stop selling the grey painted faber with the hideous salt water trapping boots. Call me dated :)

Are the galvanized tanks Worthington's?

Probably, but I dont know the manufacturer for sure.

They published pictures in their catalog and were trying to get cylinders from PST but that all fell apart. Now their current web site lists a plasma spray zinc and painted cylinder "TC pending".
This means they're onto yet another cylinder manufacturer. Any one know who?

it's an OMS 121 but actual capacity is 125. hope that helps.
