I picked up 2 supposide LP120cf steel tanks. Both are in hydro and vis.

I sit the Faber LP120 next to it and they are noticably taller 8"x 29" , both have yoke/din pro valves and boots on the bottom.

Numbers are identical on the top row and only differ in serial number on the bottom.

What exactly are they? 130's

OMS tanks are rebranded Fabers.

The tanks say LP121, which means they are low pressure 120/121/125/whatever, they are all the same, basically.

Are you sure that the tanks you are standing them next to are actually 120s? Give us the stampings on those tanks too. Perhaps they are 108s?

I figured they were LP121's based on the stamp but size wise its alittle larger than the other steels I have here.

The Faber120 is Rad Divers/Bobbys tank. I'll double check with him what it is but I am almost sure he said it was a 120.

I am running the new tanks down tomorrow afternoon to the LDS to fill with Nitrox. It will be a busy afternoon/evening for me. I am taking a equipment class and diving my new (to me) dry suit after class.

Thanks for the input!:cool2:

Not all boots are created equal. The boots OMS used to send with their tanks made them a few inches taller than the boots Faber uses.

The size chart is great, but the LP121 stamping on the neck clearly identifies these tanks as lp120s. (121, 120, same thing, statistically speaking)

Boots do indeed make a difference, that could be it. I didn't think about that, I am used to seeing steel tanks without boots (sidemount and doubles, in cave country here...)

I was talking with a friend in the hydro business and he claimed that OMS had different hydro measurement (capacity) than Faber. It has always been my understand that OMS just painted them a different color and used the Vander Waals calculation to claim a different volume.
