agreed, i ended up having to claer the break quite a few imtes as part of the class, and by timing it right it was not a problem.

I have been getting up to San Jose on business every couple weeks and would love to have someone show me the ropes for diving in the area!!!!

I will be up there again the week of December 15.

mossym:
might want to check the forecast...not looking good..

Should be an interesting weekend to do a Rescue Diver class at South Monastery =)

Mel

well you won't get bored!!!

.SAT...N TO NE WINDS 5 TO 10 KT...BECOMING NW IN THE AFTERNOON.
WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT. W SWELL 9 TO 12 FT.
.SUN...N TO NE WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT.
W SWELL 7 TO 9 FT.

I've seen worse. Saturday is a maybe, Sunday should be passable but you'll have to
find a place sheltered from the W swell (Breakwater, Del Monte, MAYBE even
Monastery, esp. in the afternoon.). As always, watch the conditions for a while before
you start assembling your gear.

yeah when i checked it this morning the report for both saturday and sunday was the same, 9-12ft, been travelling on business lately so been out of the water too long, need to get wet again...

Dunno what you were looking at, but the first Sunday forecast for Monterey offshore
was in the 3 p.m. today. I run a daemon that captures the forecasts one hour after
they come out. The first timestamp in each sample (in mixed case) is when my daemon
captured it, the second, three lines lower, is the NOAA time stamp. Methinks you
saw the FRI AND SAT.
