Let's dive this Saturday! (Aug. 27th)

I'd like to do a non-rock entry dive, since I'm still trying to keep my right hand from getting reinjured. I can't believe it's still a little painful after about 6 weeks.

The first dive will be a science experiment.

I've pulled the bungie cord off of my Dive Rite Rec Wing to see if it "tacos" badly on an AL 80. So, that's the experiment. If I find that it doesn't work as well, then I'll just put it back on for the second dive. Otherwise, I'll just leave it off.

So, who wants to dive somewhere this Saturday? I'm pretty open to going anywhere from Ventura County line to Laguna Beach.

Christian, a group of divers (http://www.southcoastdivers.com) including myself will be diving North Cresent Bay in Laguna if you would like to join us. PM me if you plan on coming, and I will look for you. I think we will be there around 8:15am or so. I may show up earlier, to do a pre-dive.

I am planning to do a couple of easy practice dives down at Redondo. We could meet at 7am and be back home by 11:30 or so.

I got a PM from iggy23 about diving yesterday and I'm just now getting a chance to post it.

I'll be meeting iggy23, his dive buddy and super opus at Leo Carrillo Lifeguard Tower #2 on Sequit Point at 8am Saturday. We'll check conditions to see if those big swells from the hurricanes in the south are pounding the beaches. If we see 6 - 8-foot waves coming in at Leo, I suggest driving to a north facing beach like R.A.T. or Malibu that would be protected.

Anyone who would like to join us is welcome and if you're coming, PM me your cell phone number and I'll PM you mine, so that we can let each other know if we are stuck in traffic or having trouble finding the location, etc.

I was just talking to iggy23 on the phone and we're shifting to Vet's Park in Redondo at 7:00 am. We just can't resist a dive party!

So, iggy23 will contact super opus and let him know about the location change, since he already has his number.
