I have a INON WAL and a Macro 165, I am thinking of getting another Inon 165 macro to stack them. I have ULCS arms with a double caddy for the WAL and macro I have, well the caddy holds 2 lenses and I will have 3 lenses now that need to be secured. I don't really want to stack the macros to store them. Any suggestions? I would also like suggestions on extra security for the lenses, I saw some people put a zip tie around the WAL with a string, how about the macro? I just want to have it attached somehow in case one gets dropped... (hopefully won't happen).
Anyone store their lenses in neoprene pouches attached to the BC?
I welcome suggestions :) those cost too much to get dinged or scratched!

thanks!

I stick my macros in the front of my wetsuit - only works with a front zip of course.

My WAL lives in a pouch I bought at a fishing store originally meant to protect a reel. The pouch string attaches to a clip inside my bc pocket and the whole thing fits in there nicely. Easy to access. Out of the way.

I don't worry about scratching or losing my lenses. I do have a fishing trace on my WA but usually don't bother to attach it anymore. Go slowly in putting on and removing and you should reduce your chances of dropping things.

I used to use a stubby holder for the macros. It worked really well, but the wetsuit works better.

This works for me, too, for my macro lens. My WA goes in a lens dock but I don't switch lenses too much any more.

I have those screw on optic glass things on my lenses. I got them because I would sometimes get to depth and the lens cap would be on, in the housing. this guy shooting for NG was in Cozumel and he told me to buy them.

Catherine, what exactly are these...?

It is like a filter but it is optical glass (plain) and this pro told me to put them on all my lenses to prevent scratches because the lenses are a expensive. So, I ordered them from B and H...they were about 50 dollars each I think.... maybe less. They screw right on. Recently, I noticed a thread where people were talikng about dropped lenses and they felt this screw on glass had save their thousand dolar lens. That is all I know!

Catherine,

That makes sense. Thanks!
