Didn't want to highjack the other thread for this question.

I recently bought the Princeton-Tec 1W LED as a day crevice looker and night backup. Although not a dive light I got a Streamlight 3C LED light.

What do y'all think about LEDs for diving? For other uses? Any particular one that is better than others?

Thanks

My experience has been that the LED's SEEM less bright (wth the same battery pack) compared to an incandescent bulb.

However, the light the LED makes is much better at bringing out the natural colors of fisf/coral/plants ... and so it's better for illuminating photography. (or if you just want to see really vibrant colors) ... otherwise, I've never had a bulb failure on my LED, and it's easier on batteries than an incandesent.

Still useing an HID for my primary, though.
