I have never dove the Atlantic. I have a place in Long Beach Island,Nj. I have a newborn and cannot afford to go away. What is the VIZ and TEMP in the summer? Will I need a 7mm suit? What are some cool wrecks to dive?
Any info would be awesome.

Look here for a map of NJ offshore wrecks.
Yes, a 7 mm is adequate in summer, but remember the water temps can get prett-ty cold down there. If you don't mind a colossal brain freeze, you're golden. In the colder months and until about July, you definitely need a drysuit.
Viz varies a lot. 0-100 ft, depending on...well, depending on just about everything. 50 feet is a very good day.
