Lemonade:
Easy enough to try.

ScubaFishee,
what about the latex neck seal on Bare? Do you know if they suggest it stretches too?

The neck seals on my Bare Nex- Gen does have the trimming rings on it. It was a good thing to because it was about the size of the wrist seals when I got it three rings trimmed off later perfect fit. Do NOT cut the wrist seals if they dont have the rings.

the neck seal is designed to be trimmed. wrist seals aren't.

It really should be in the manual telling you about it though.

I just bought two Bare CD4 suits, and I saw this topic so I sent an email to Bare. They responded in a couple hours.

They said not to trim the wrist seals, but the neck is designed to be trimmed.

Since for whatever reason this topic is not covered in the manual, Bare really should publish it in the FAQ on their website.

All, thanks for the replies.

Those bottle neck shaped ones are fantastic -- IF they happen to fit you. Why they would put them on a suit that you can't get custom sized to fit you (nex-gen) is anyone's guess.

I tried stretching my wrist seals over bottles for weeks... it may have helped a little bit but nowhere near enough. So I trimmed them, based on advice from another user (MSilva) in one of the other nex-gen threads down the list. I trimmed over an inch off of each of them, and that actually helped a lot. They are still the same 'size' as before, but now they're easier to stretch over my hands and wrists and they don't squeeze me as tight. The down side is that there's less sealing area, but it still doesn't leak. I know Bare says not to trim them, but what do they know?

I also trimmed 3 rings off of the neck seal. I believe my instructions did tell me to trim the neck seal to fit, but didn't tell how, and they didn't say squat about the wrist seals.
