I've got a question and wonder how you like your dryhood trimmed so that it works with a FFM and a normal mask.

Do you trim it so your mask rests on your skin, or trim it so your mask rests on the latex?

I'm wondering because I have one of those faces that tends to make the mask leak no matter what I do, especially when I smile. I trim mine so that in the Winter when I wear a FFM it seals on the latex and I never get leaks, not a drop. In the summer that doesn't work well because I don't dive a FFM and it tends to leak easier because I have a mask on both latex and skin below the nose where my cheeks wrinkle.

So if I haven't lost you, how have you solved that problem I'm having?

We have lots of people that trim that beast just enough to see out of and get their mouth bit in the mouth. That way the FFmask and the standard mask are just sealing on the latex. However, you still have to have the right size hood so you don't have a wrinkle to try to seal over. Oh, and make sure that you have at least cut a nose hole in it before trying it on to mark for eyes and mouth. That thing will create a horrendous seal on your head making it very tough to take off! My wife was rolling on the floor laughing at me trying to get on off the first time I tried one on.
