Late June early July diving in the Bay Area?

Late June early July diving in the Bay Area?
I'll be out visiting family in SF- It the Best diving down in Carmel?
There has to be some solid shore Diving in the immediate Bay area.
Does anybody have a LDS to recommend? I will be Staying Down town.

Not much diving north of monterey until you get north of San Francisco...From SF your best diving is in Monterey/Carmel, either boat or shore...if you decide to go there there are a bunch of good dive shops in Monterey, Manta Ray, Monterey Bay Dive Center, aquarius, come to mind..

you'll also be passing a bunch on the drive down there..you're probably looking at a 2 hour drive from SF.
