Three weeks ago I made my 2nd dive on U-853 for this year. Best conditions I have ever seen at this site - 20' vis and calm seas. Plenty of ambient light all the way to the bottom.

My buddies and I made a short planned deco dive. Anyway the last 3 feet of the bow was gone. We could not find it in the sand either. Does anyone know what happened to it? I was disappointed because that is my favorite part of the wreck. This was my 6th dive on U-853. My first time out this year we had overcast skies, decent chop, and 8' max vis. We went to the stern and back - taking our time in a very short planned deco dive. I don't know if the bow section was there at that time or not.

I would appreciate any info.

Thanks
