Sorry, have to go work at some checkout dives this weekend. Have to find a chance to get some folks together and check this one out, tho. Troubles is, ot some weekends of checkout dives, and some weekends of AOW class to work with.

Dave, what time do you want to meet up or do you just want to meet there? I'll probably just go out 70 and get off at 79 and shoot straight across to it.

Hopefully the rain ends by 9 am like it shows and we get in some good dives....I'm bringing 4 tanks along.

Got two good dives in on Monday. Weather was so so- off and on showers in the AM and cloudy after lunch. First dive we set out in hopes of finding the row boat by the plane but never found it. Anyways we found the plane, from there went to the wheelchair, found the car on the way, and lastly found the van. Viz was around 20-25 ft; much better than in April and water temp was 68 at depth(35 or 40 ft). It was much warmer on the surface (low to mid 70's). After that two more buddies of mine joined and got in a dive. We waited to do our second dive all together. For the second dive we went along the shore over towards the beach area and found the old platforms and the deep trench. Now on to the deep trench. Viz went from 25 ft down to about 4 inches. Temp went from low 70's to mid 50's in a matter of 10 ft. One buddy got separated in the trench so we all surfaced and found the other buddy. Went back down and said heck with the trench and just did a return trip back over the same course pretty much. We didn't make it through the entire width of the trench but did find 54 ft so I think we made it for the most part across the trench before we surfaced. Unfortunately this was the last dive to the less than favorable surface interval conditions...man a drysuit would have been nice so I could stay nice and dry.

Another thing I noticed there the fish are very skittish and don't like to stay still for too long. They were very hard to get pictures of. All in all conditions improved majorly since April and we got in two good long dives.
