Was just at my LDS, water temp will be somewhere in the 60's so yeah I am most certainly bringing a wetsuit. I will call closer to the time and get what there bottom temp is and post it.

By tables you mean picnic? or dive?

I may be buying a new wetsuit for this weekend since I have a lake to go explore on monday. To our knowledge nobody has ever dove it. 80' bottom depth is our guess....

CR -- he meant picnic. I've got another note to the operator, asking about tables (location of), and whether portable BBQs were permitted. I figure if even if there's just the five (or six?) of us, we could really enjoy an SI with a cooked meal. I have a very compact BBQ that I can toss in the car.

Right on... sounds like a good plan to me!!! We have at least 4 right now, working on one other in my office to see if he wants to go.

Question Looks like there will be 4-6 of us there (can you say party?)...
Response Sounds like a fun time to me. Am I invited to the party?
Reply But of course, if you're there, do join us!

Question Are there any tables available? Or do we need to use a primitive camping area for the day? Is it permissible to bring a portable BBQ?
Response The three primitive group sites all have picnic tables and outdoor cooking grills. In addition, each site with an electrical hook-up also has an outdoor cooking grill and a picnic table. You are also permitted to bring a portable BBQ.

Sounds great.... what time do you all think you will get there?

Hehehe depends if the crazy canuck is driving or the nutty caroliner...

Though I believe the plan is to be there for 9.

Sounds good.... I sent the nutty caroliner my cell phone number. I have no idea what kind of car we are going to be showing up in or what the facilities are there. Most likely my nextel phone won't work and that number will be useless.... so we will have to figure out something else :)

I am renting tanks for dave and myself, that friday, and we will most likely be in his brown and white blazer, (the beater truck). I know you can rent tanks there but we are planning a visit into the lakes around his house that following day since I have off work. (Should be intresting)

I will shoot you all a picture here soon so you know who to look for.

CR

and the vis was great (about 30-40') and the temp had warmed up to 58F on the surface, 55F at 30', and 49F at about 60'. Course, there weren't too many other folks there so the vis stayed good the entire time.

Looking at the temps in the last post, Hmmmm oh yeah, getting a thick ass wetsuit! Anyone remember how much weight to add for a 9-8-7 wetsuit and gloves?????

How many dives were you all thinking that day? 3?

Great! Thanks Jeadiver for the report.

Still wearing the drysuit, just won't need the really warm woolies.
