I am not involved in this, but thought I would put the word out.
Seems like a good opportunity to check out Pueblo res. I have always wanted to dive it....

I wanted to invite you to come down in September for our annual Lake Pueblo Cleanup Day. It is on the same date as PADI's Project AWARE International Cleanup Day (3rd Saturday in September, with collection data sent to Project AWARE). So, if you'd like to come and participate by diving and picking up trash in the lake (and/or working the event) we'd love to have you.

See the attached flyer for more information, and please spread the word to your fellow area divers.

Thanks so much,

Tracy Wynn

I think it might be fun! My mother in law lives in Pueblo... and I could probably find a place for you to crash with some folks we know, Ron. Let me know if you want to give it a go!

I'm thinking about this too. I'll let you know when I return from Roatan/Belize/Grand Cayman around the middle of the month. I don't plan on taking my boat since I've found I it is quite difficult to be skipper and diver at the same time. Also, I don't plan on putting my boat on Pueblo if I can help it, due to the infestation of muscles, and the cost to decontaminate before I put it on Lake Powell (or any other non-contaminated) waters.

Also, as I read this, it is only a 5-hour event. Is there need to stay overnight? If so, I might consider taking my motorhome, but I've already winterized it since I didn't think I'd be using it much anymore. I'm leaving Friday for the Caribbean to dive 4 countries, and then I'm going back to Bonaire in October for 2 weeks.
