I'm thinking of taking a couple of open water students to Lake Denton for checkout dives next weekend. I know the water temps a couple of months ago were in the 60's. Anyone been there lately? What's the temp now?

75-76. About 72-73 at the boats

Thats awesome!! I may be bringing gear with me this weekend on a trip and have pondered stopping by there on the way home Sunday for a little decompression! :D

It's nice to hear that it's warming up. I was there in January, and it got down below 60 at the boats. I'm planning on taking a student down there next Sunday (May 8th). I try to avoid Saturdays. Too many dive classes in one small area.

I agree that Saturdays tend to be more crowded than Sundays so we're going down there early Saturday morning! Besides, I'm headed to Grand Cayman Sunday for some trimix diving on the wall. Can't wait!
