Anyone know what time the lifeguards hit the beaches at Laguna in the summer (most specifically on weekends)? Are there any beaches which don't get lifeguards?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like someone's planning a mad and reckless dash across the burning sands... without a snorkle :light: :light: ! Run Forrest Run!

Well, the thought is that by getting there early, the dash won't be quite so hot. ;)

To what shift are you refering? Day, swing, or graveyard?:1poke:

Actually, I'm just a visitor down here. I'm heading to Laguna for my first time tomorrow, and am hoping the conditions cooperate (Read: Fingers crossed).

I think your question is a good one. Sorry I'm not the one to give you a straight answer. Good luck.

They usually show up at the stands between 8 and 9 AM during the week and closer to 8 AM on weekends. If you get to the beach at 6 or 6:30 you should have a good window on Lifeguardless conditions.
In the winter time they don't show at all unless they are doing a driveby.

Are you thinking about going snorkel-less??? :D

:D If you are arranging your schedule so you can dive without a snorkel, I suggest you seek therapy.

Miles and miles of coast line you can dive snorkel-less, and people go to the one beach where they require a snorkel. This is the best rebellion you could come up with?;)

(The above is intended as a joke, please take it as such. It's right up there with the mof/nmof debate.)

LOL to all of you. I'm asking in case someone wanted to theoretically flout the law and do two solo dives because they desperately need to finish a reef mapping project that, due to failed logistics, probably can't be done with a buddy.

Oh, phew, just a solo dive. I thought for sure you were gonna be unsafe and dive without the most important piece of equipment one needs for,,,, ummmm.,,,,,, snorkeling. I was gonna say, on exit, just tell them a sea lion snatched your snorkel. Hard to say that about your buddy
