Moss, cress, and woods (which is under construction right now) are all quite rocky with some good kelp and grass closer to shore. As you go deeper it is more rocky than kelpy. I think that these sights have a good mix of things. There is not a lot of parking at these spots. Carpooling would be best if there will be many divers, or we have to pick a different spot.

Treasure Island Cove is quickly becoming one of my new favorite spots. It has great, pay parking with facilities and it is behind a resort, so the whole area is nice. There are many rock structures that provide overhangs and swim-thrus with a few cave like things. There is some kelp to go through as well.

Think about it a little. We normally get to the dive sites around 7am to beat the non-diving crowds, but I am not sure where you are coming from, or if you are willing to get there that early.

In either case there is plenty of time to plan.

Randy

P.S I tried to post a link to a map, but the site won't let me because I am new to ScubaBoard. Pacificwilderness.com and lagunaseasports.com both have maps on their sites. Treasure Island Cove is south of Moss St. if it is not on the map.

I'd like to come since Laguna sounds so good right now (it was on Jan 2 at Crescent) but I'm on Teamcasa's Great Escape boat trip to Catalina that day.

And just so it doesn't seem like it's only the women, I also prefer sites with faciities.

I'd be up for a Laguna dive on Jan 31. I know, way to far out to plan for you every week divers.

Hey now, I'm not scared to tough it out. Just when diving Dry its kinda hard to go when in the water. So that means in a Public area its kinda hard to find a spot to Squat and go, ya know we cant just whip it out like you guys :)

Hey Erika I was agreeing with you. Even if I can 'just whip it out" I prefer facilities.

I know ya where i just did not want to sound like a wimp!

We could try Crescent and do the Swim around to Shaws. I've been intrigued by this since our last meet there when Billy said how great the dive was. I thought of it again after Nicole mentioned that last weekend. It does have the plus of having facilities and if we park near either set off stairs to Shaws or west crescent the walk shouldn't be too bad.

Of do we wanna explore other sites :)

That sounds quite fun...... So where would we park?

The facilities are on the south crescent side. So you might be inclined to park there. It is a pretty fair hump from Shaw's to S. Crescent. If you are decent on air, you could go from one side to the other and back on one tank. Especially if you cut through the inner reef swim-thrus.
