They are trying to pay one hour as that was how long we were there but the legal minimun is two hours, is it not?


there is no US (Federal) minimum pay period when an employee reports to work but is sent home. (there are such laws in Canada and the UK).

i am not aware of many state that have them, certainly not Florida (Massachussets does, I think California might).

in the absence of state law, if you have an employment or union contract, any provision to that effect will be contained in that contract.
