Hi,
I am trying to decide between two, week-long group trips to La Paz in Oct. and while I usually assume that you can see more on a liveaboard, the liveaboard trips around La Paz don't seem to travel very far afield. Any insight?
Thanks, Hilary

Hi Hillary, liveaboard trips usually gives you more dives, also you get to the best dive sites a lot earlier than everybody else.. last year we say hammerhead sharks in large schools on the early dives everytime. Also you go to dive sites that are further north such as Las Animas and San Francisquito island. We will have an expedition to Loreto in August 20-27 in case you are interested..

Hi Hilary,

I recommend the liveabord experience in the La Paz area as some of the better dive sites are longish hauls from land, plus you can get in lots more diving.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the liveaboard trips around La Paz don't seem to travel very far afield." Sure, it's not like doing the Cocos or Socorros Islands, but the better itineraries go a way, and far enough to show the diver much of the nicest diving.

Have fun.
