My wife and I are coming to Cabo San Lucas at the end of Sept. to early Oct. I'll do a couple of days of diving at CSL. My wife can snorkel.

We're thinking to rent a car to drive to La Paz on Sept. 30. On Oct. 1 like to dive/snorkel with sea lions, and if whale sharks are there to also snorkel with them. I hear the whale shark season starts around mid-Nov., so we'll be too early (even though several ops show Oct. 1 as the first bookable day for whale shark snorkeling)

I'm seeing ops Dive in La Paz, SeaLions Dive, La Paz Divers, Cortez Club. Anyone can comment on those ops? Thanks.

We're booking with Dive in La Paz. Hope it goes well.

I've heard some people run into corrupt cops extorting cash with bogus charges from CSL to La Paz. Hope we don't run into those.

We did our snorkeling trip through Eco Migrations to get the whale shark tour + larger sea lion colony (Los Islotes) in one day, plus a super delicious tostada lunch! Might be worth it if you want one non-diving day and the sea lion snorkeling at the larger colony. Lots of the places that do two snorkeling stops like that will do the smaller one. You could always add it on top of your dive days.

When was it that you did both whale sharks and sea lions? The dive ops all said whale shark season won't be till mid-Nov. So it'd be too early for us on Oct. 1.
