Anyone want to join the fun? This will be a twilight dive to 100+ so divers should be comfortable with a 200 yard surface swim to the buoy, diving in dim light with potentially tight visibility to depth between 100-115ft with an average depth of 85 ft. If you fit this then do join me. I will be at Kellogg Park in La Jolla at 630p in the big red ugly truck. email me if you would like to join the fun. SEAN!! This means you!!

Sorry to hear that you can't make it on account of you being old and tired. I'll look for you and your walker at the shores Wednesday :D

I shouldn't be hard to spot, I'll probably be the only 'ol guy with a drysuit encased walker and towing a little nitrox bottle behind me. ;)

Stan House, Sean and met at the shores and set out to see what we could see. What we could see was a lot of not much. Visibility started out fair but got worse down to about 60ft and then increased to poor below 80 ft. Ran into the bottom before I saw it. Had to hug the shelf to see it. Still managed to find 3 octopus, one the size of my thumbnail, a cabezon eating another fish. Three species of Nudibranchs. Two of which I have never seen before. Both of course are blurry images so ID may be tough. A sweet potato, several striped shrimp, a pipefish, the usual swimming crabs and a sea hare that thought it was a decorator complete with it's own spider crab hitch hiker.
For all the poor vis it was still a nice night to be in the water. I hope you can all join us next time.
