Hi All,
I'm digging this board and all the enthusiastic input from busy divers!
I've had a great time splashing in for over 100 dives since re-certifying last year...mostly Channel Islands and Palos Verdes shoreline. Thank God for an equally enthusiastic dive buddy that's constantly juiced and ready to go....and can find cool critters in all conditions. From 48 to 73 degrees, hot water vents to freezing thermoclines; Squid, sharks, Morays, octopus, kelp...it's just paradise! :07:
Glad to finally be on the board and looking forward to learning more. Thanks to all who keep this amazing system cooking along.

WELCOME to ScubaBoard!!!
Congratulations on being recertified.
How long were you away?
Hope to see your posts often.

Welcome to the board!

Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!
If you'll simply click ScubaBoard.com above, you'll be taken to our long list of forums, a wealth of information and resources. My favorite is at the bottom: Singles Dive Club.

It would help in future diving discussions if you'd complete your Dive Info. You can use the Quick Links above to reach those easily. Sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message." :thumb:

20 years! Unbelievable to me, but I kept pretty busy with mountain biking, sailing, fencing, sailing, body-boarding, family/school/work.....but 20 years without a dive.
Today I logged #107 since my return, and I get excited every time I get in the water.
It's great to be back with a roar. The equipment is stunningly improved, and I bought pretty affordable stuff...every single piece of equipment is better and makes diving more fun. Computers! Wow!
Where are your favorite dive spots??

Welcome to the board from another newbie. I haven't yet logged quite as many dives as you, but I am on track to at least match you with 30 dives in 3 months.

I am addicted.

Welcome back to the "real world." You and your buddy should join our SoCal group dives... for example, the monthly Wrinkles dive (next one 11-21 I think) or the occasional get together at the Casino Dive Park.

Thank you! It's quite a fun peek into a larger world filled with people who understand my happy addiction to diving. Thanks for the nice welcome.

Thanks, Matt, for the enthusiastic greeting. I've never dived in a lake! I've sort of snorkled in trout streams up in oregon...brrrrrr...but fun to watch the fish. Where do you like to dive the most?
