KVUE News Austin story including divers on Giant Stride

Watch the KVUE News 24 Austin 6:00 pm broadcast this evening, portions were taped on Giant Stride with interviews of the divers. We came across the news crew at Mansfield Dam and asked if they would be interested in broadcasting that the lake is not closed to scuba divers and that the lake level is actually opening up sites that are normally beyond recreational limits. They came out for a dive at Shaker Plant and interviewed the divers before and after the dive.

Put on your calendar November 4 at 7:00 for a presentation of the archives of construction of Mansfield Dam at the LCRA Red Bud Center. This will be a presentation of historical photos of the Dam construction and Shaker Plant with a discussion following the slide show.

Ellen is a Swamper since she has been in the water with countless Swampers diving during charters. Since Ellen is a Swamper, then all the divers on the charter became Swampers without knowing it. Two of the divers shown came in from Midland to dive and complete their AOW class.
